User review of Tenergy 05 Hard from Butterfly Brand

I think most table tennis player have

Comparison of Tenergy 05 Hard's hardness

Tenergy 05 Hard's sponge hardness is 43 When Tenergy 05's sponge hardness is 36 and Tenergy 05FX's sponge hardness is 32.

#Caution : Each companies' sponge hardness is not unified. So sponge hardness only can be compared between the products manufactured from the same company

After ITTF's official ball has been changed to ABS ball from Celluloid ball, Players has felt that less spin is generated on ABS ball so, more spinning power has requested to the blade and rubber.

The reason professional players are looking for 'harder' spring sponge rubber is that players can make more powerful spin when the players who have powerful and fast swing use the hard sponge rubber.

Principle of Hard sponge's function

When hitting the ball, the ball pushes the rubber and the rubber shows it tries to restore. The greater the degree of penetration and the stronger the force to return to its place, the more speed and spin added to the ball increases and it makes a powerful hitting.

Depends on the type of sponge, the force of restitution is different.

Blade : Looftop Graffin ZYC

<First feeling>

The first time I hit the ball, the feeling was really "hard". You can tell the feeling by just hitting the forehand stroke, not the drive.

<Drive>

What I felt was that the ball went out as much as I had an impact. I was curious about Chinese rubber and two month ago, I used "Neo-hurricane 3 blue sponge" which is the hottest one recently. When compared "Neo-Hurricane 3 Blue sponge" to the rubbers such as Butterfly, Exiom, T-bar, etc., which are used a lot by amateur and professional players, there was a lot of sense of difference with first hit.

But Tenergy 05 Hard did not feel that much difference when compared with the rubbers

<In game playing>

Practice : 10 minutes

No. of games played : 10 games

First of all, the game partner told me that when hits the drive properly, the ball moves far more than other rubbers. And since the spin takes a little longer, there are cases the over missing ball goes out of the table go into the table.

When receiving, it was often the case that the ball hit the net at first if I cut with the same power as Tenergy 05, the flying distance came out less.

I was able to make a stable and strong rotation when I cut like hitting the ball a little more.

<Overall>

I was satisfied. But what I felt differently from usual was that I felt more strain on my arms than when I did usual exercise. It's a rubber with less repulsion, so if I pushed the ball while impacting, the distance of the ball was short, and I consciously made a little impact on the ball, so there was s strain on my arm. From the standpoint of exercising once a week like now, I thought I need to strengthen my arm.

If you have continued to use a rubber with good repulsion or if you use a lot of technique such as drive with much spin, you may feel disappointed.

<Recommendation for player type>

If this is used by a player with fast swing and power, the performance of a rigid spring sponge can be maximized and powerful hitting is possible.

Thank you~!
